Lost Animal Behavioral Recovery Intelligence Engine · from urSynergy Inc.
We're here to help reunite lost animals with their families. Completely free. No exploitation. Just people helping people.
urReptile Lost & Found is a free public service from urSynergy Inc. — designed to help during one of the most stressful moments of pet ownership.
We built this service because we care about animals and their families — not because we want to profit from your pain.
Other services charge $50-200 to help find your lost pet. We don't. Losing a pet is traumatic enough — we refuse to profit from your emotional distress. This is a free public service, period.
We never expose your phone number, email, or address publicly. Ever. All communication is mediated through our platform until you choose to share contact information.
We don't put photos on posters. Why? It prevents scammers from exploiting you, lowers the barrier for people to report sightings ("I'm not 100% sure..."), and our descriptor-based system achieves 75-95% match confidence without photos.
Found a lost animal? You can report it immediately — no account creation, no forms, no barriers. We make it easy for good people to help.
Lost your pet? Report it with descriptors (size, color, location). Found a lost animal? Report it — no account needed. Our system captures what matters: behavior, appearance, location, and time.
Our recovery engine compares hundreds of factors using established animal behavior research, species and breed characteristics, environmental conditions, location, time, and verified sightings to identify the most likely matches and guide recovery efforts.
We verify matches with security questions to prevent scams, then facilitate anonymous messaging. Share contact information only when you're ready. Your safety comes first.
Lost Animal Behavioral Recovery Intelligence Engine
LABRIE™ is the scientific intelligence engine that powers urReptile Lost & Found's recovery recommendations.
Rather than relying on generative artificial intelligence to guess where a lost animal might be, LABRIE combines decades of established animal behavior research with species and breed knowledge, environmental science, geographic information, weather conditions, verified sightings, and real-world recovery outcomes to produce evidence-based recovery guidance.
Every recommendation is designed to be transparent, explainable, and grounded in research.
As the knowledge base grows through anonymized recovery outcomes and ongoing scientific validation, LABRIE continues to improve its understanding of how companion animals behave when lost.
LABRIE is developed by urSynergy Inc. as part of its mission to advance companion animal welfare through science, technology, and public service.
Behavior, not guesswork.
Science, not hype.
Recovery, not prediction.
Most lost-and-found websites simply publish listings.
urReptile Lost & Found is designed to become a comprehensive recovery intelligence platform.
Rather than relying on generative AI to guess what might happen, our system combines decades of animal behavior research, veterinary knowledge, species and breed characteristics, environmental science, mapping, and real recovery data to help families make better search decisions.
At launch, the Recovery Intelligence Engine will incorporate:
This allows urReptile Lost & Found to answer questions such as:
With owner permission, anonymous recovery information helps improve future recommendations.
As more animals are reunited with their families, urReptile Lost & Found's recovery knowledge continues to grow, benefiting the entire companion animal community while protecting individual privacy.
Losing a pet is one of the most emotionally devastating experiences for animal lovers. Other services exploit this pain by charging fees during your time of crisis.
We believe that's wrong. This service is our way of supporting the animal community when it matters most.
Photos on posters create three problems: (1) scammers can exploit them to extract money, (2) people hesitate to report because they're "not 100% sure," and (3) lost animals often change appearance.
Descriptors work better. "Skittish brown dog with white chest" gets more reports than a photo that might not match after a week in the elements.
Behavior-informed matching across descriptors, location radius, and time windows surfaces connections you might miss — all grounded in animal behavior research and working to reunite you faster.
We show general areas only (e.g., "near Oak & 5th"). Never exact addresses. Your home location stays private.
Verification questions, mediated messaging, and no public contact info prevent bad actors from exploiting desperate pet owners.
Generate QR code posters that anyone can scan to report sightings. No photos needed. Simple descriptors lower the barrier to help.
Talk to potential finders without exposing your contact info. Share phone numbers only when you're ready.
Time is critical when an animal is lost. Our system processes sightings in real-time and notifies you immediately.
Report a lost animal, or help by sharing what you've seen. No signup required.
